About The Role
The HR/People partner role within Proact is a truly generalist position, reporting directly to the HR Director and providing day to day HR support to our business of 300 people. It’s a really exciting job at the heart of our growing business, one where you will truly have the opportunity to learn something every day and to drive our business, and the people within it, forwards. The role encompasses a wide variety of HR activities across the whole employee life cycle from hiring and onboarding through to exit, working in a close and high performing HR team.
What You’ll Do
You will work with the People Manager community across the organisation providing expertise to enable them to manage teams effectively and to help build their capability. You will also be the first point of contact for all HR related activity for the whole business and you will work across all stages of the employee life cycle from hiring and onboarding through to exit. You will provide proactive administration and coordination including recruitment, onboarding, payroll and L&D. For example managing the joining and leaving processes, administering all contract changes, generating data and analysis and updating HR policies and procedures. You will get involved in a wide range of projects aligned to the strategic priorities of the business and set out in the HR Strategy. These projects will provide you with access to development in all areas of the CIPD profession map.
There is a strong focus on maturing leadership capability in the business and your role is central to driving the company culture. You will therefore need to be a strong communicator and great at building relationships across all parts of the organisation in particular with People Managers.
- Play a key role in delivery of the People strategy, working with the HR Director to deliver all people projects
- Work collaboratively to ensure all elements of the People agenda are well developed, designed, delivered and consistently measured and evaluated
- Lead on all transactional HR work for the business
- Maximise organisational effectiveness through maturing the leadership capability of the People Manager community
- Ensure a proactive and effective HR provision to the organisation
An experienced HR practitioner, you will have strong foundational experience working in HR in a role that is both operational and project based. You will be a strong communicator who can coach, influence and support others to be effective. You will want to make a real impact and to actively participate in Proact’s thriving culture. You will have every opportunity to contribute positively to the achievement of Proact UK’s overall values and objectives through varied project work aligned to the People Strategy. You will need to bring the energy and commitment necessary to shape your role within this.

You should have the confidence to build great relationships across the business and influence where needed to ensure our people have the very best experience.
